I will dominate 'legitimate boxer' Paul - Anthony Joshua
Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-round fight which will be streamed live on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" the American and "break" his opponent as the combatants came face-to-face to promote next month's boxing match.
Former two time unified title holder Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami venue on December 19th.
Fighter's Mindset
"I will damage his features and hurt his body. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, said.
"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I intend to really want to hurt him. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Interaction
In spite of these statements, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Paul - normally known for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul rather criticized ex Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian declined a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, targeted UK rival Fury - and declined a large bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer stated.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Fighter
In spite of saying he intends to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua declined to talk badly about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he said.
Jake Paul's Background
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.
He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
Still, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of the sport's biggest financial successes, frequently receiving substantial financial rewards.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28-year-old predicted a knockout win in round four or five and asserted he would derail the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly in the works for two years from now.
"It will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.
Physical Difference
As the two fighters engaged in the usual confrontation, with their size difference evident, it drove home just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the match is truly proceeding.
